Local Pastors

A Local Pastor is charged with the duties of Word, Service, Sacrament, Order, Compassion and Justice just as an ordained person is, but the Local Pastor’s charge is limited to particular congregations or contexts. Local Pastors are often people who choose to enter ministry later in life or who have other life circumstances that make seminary impractical for them. Local Pastors preach, teach, administer the sacraments and provide congregational guidance within the context of their local church.  Local Pastors are licensed annually by the Dean of a College and interview with their local PPR to renew their licenses each year.
