Our Story
White’s Chapel is a very large Methodist church located in Southlake, Texas. Founded in 1871, White’s Chapel has been blessed to grow from a single room log cabin to a regional center of worship with outreach that extends from the DFW Metroplex to the corners of the earth.
In November 2022, the people of White’s Chapel voted overwhelmingly to leave the United Methodist Church. Knowing that accountability and connectionalism are critical to the Methodist expression of Christianity, White’s Chapel set out to find other congregations to join together in a new centerist Methodist denomination that welcomes all people, makes space for a variety of points of view, and strives to set aside differences in order to faithfully follow where the Holy Spirit leads.
