JOINING THE METHODIST COLLEGIATE CHURCH
The Methodist Collegiate Church is accepting applications for pastoral and prospective pastoral candidates. Whether you are currently credentialed as an Ordained or Licensed Pastor or you are seeking credentials via Ordination or Licensure, the MCC has the structural and educational resources to support you on your continued path of shepherding others toward Christ.
RECOGNITION OF ORDINATION OR PASTORAL LICENSE

Complete initial Methodist Collegiate Church Application.

Interview with a pastor of the Methodist Collegiate Church to explore your call, the MCC recognition process, and possible ways to serve the Kingdom of God.

Interview and Approval by the local church’s Pastor-Parish Relations Committee (or equivalent).

Complete supplementary application and interview with the Commission on Ministry for approval.

If recommended by the Commission on Ministry, the candidate may need to attend and complete Licensing School before approval.
ENTRANCE TO ORDINATION

Complete initial Methodist Collegiate Church Application.

Interview with a pastor of the Methodist Collegiate Church to explore your call, the MCC ordination process, and possible ways to serve the Kingdom of God.

Interview and Approval by the local church’s Pastor-Parish Relations Committee (or equivalent).

Approval by the local church’s Administrative Board (or equivalent).

Complete supplementary application and preliminary interview with the local college’s Commission on Ministry.

Complete Licensing School and finish any remaining educational requirements.

Apply and interview with the Commission on Ministry for Commissioning.

If approved for Commissioning, residency will begin.

Apply for and interview with the Commission on Ministry for Ordination.
ENTRANCE TO PASTORAL LICENSING

Interview with a pastor of the Methodist Collegiate Church to explore your call, the MCC licensing process, and possible ways to serve the Kingdom of God.Interview and approval by the local church’s Pastor-Parish Relations Committee (or equivalent).

Approval by the local church’s Administrative Board (or equivalent).

Apply for and interview with the local college’s Commission on Ministry.

Complete Licensing School.

Appointed to Local Church Ministry.

Complete annual continuing education and evaluations.
