In 2022, the leadership of White’s Chapel Methodist Church in Southlake, TX, began dreaming of a way to be faithful to our heritage while also asking what needs to change, both within our walls and in our community. As prayer and conversations continued, priorities emerged and ideas began taking shape. What would it look like if we committed to remaining true to our Methodist roots while also promoting voluntary participation and financial independence for likeminded churches?

 

In 2023, after much prayer and dialogue with potential partners, these questions led to the creation of the Methodist Collegiate Church. Soon after, partnerships began to form both in the US and Africa. And this is only the beginning.
